Chuck Dillon was born in a small chaotic row home in Philadelphia where drawing was always encouraged. He has been an illustrator since 1993 and taught for thirteen years at his alma mater, the Hussian School of Art. At the age of 19 Chuck landed a comic strip in the Philadelphia Daily News called, The Inside Dirt. Chuck has created award winning illustrations for such clients as Highlights for Children, PBS Sprout, Dr. Seuss Enterprises, Princeton University, the Philadelphia Zoo and many more. Chuck is a member and four time Reuben nominee of the National Cartoonist Society for his work with Highlights for Children and Awkward Family Photos.

Chuck enjoys wandering aimlessly in the woods, making others laugh, visiting foreign places, and convincing the world he is a cowboy (which he is not).

Chuck is a native Philadelphian but currently resides in the Nashua, NH area with his beautiful scientist wife, their cute-as-a-button daughter, and one very cartoony dog. Chuck likes to hide himself and/or his family in many of his illustrations, as seen above.
